  • Nov 23 - Dublin - Workshop: New cluster development for Irish ocean farmers

    Stakeholders from across Ireland’s seaweed sector gathered at Trinity College Dublin to explore the potential for a national regenerative ocean farming cluster, share insights, and shape next steps for collaboration.

  • ISA Online Board Meetings Dec 23 and Dec 24

    C-FAARER held two online board meetings in December 2023 and 2024, bringing together board members to share updates, review progress, and align on key action points and next steps

  • Go Nature Positive x C-FAARER - ISA Board & ISA Member Events

    During the Go Nature Positive Event in Galway, C-FAARER hosted two sessions for the Irish Seaweed Association: one with the ISA board to align on priorities and next steps, and one with potential members to introduce the association, share updates and gather feedback.

  • UN Ocean Decade Off-site Satellite Event: Financing nature-based solutions for a sustainable blue economy

    C-FAARER contributed to the organisation of a joint side event at the 2024 UN Ocean Decade Conference in Barcelona, alongside fellow EU-funded projects Invest4Nature, BlueMissionAA, Prep4Blue, SeaMark, and others. 

  • Seaposium 2024

    Hosted by The Seaweed Company, Seaposium 2024 celebrated the sustainable seaweed farming industry alongside the official opening of the company’s new processing facility in County Donegal. C-FAARER participated by sharing insights on regenerative ocean farming and supporting cross-sector dialogue.

  • Blue Mission Atlantic & Arctic Lighthouse Weekly Hour with C-FAARER

    C-FAARER presented its work during BlueMissionAA’s Atlantic & Arctic Weekly Hour, sharing insights on regenerative ocean farming, early findings from Norway, and the formation of the Irish Seaweed Association.

  • CoolBlueFuture Platform Launch

    C-FAARER was invited to present at the CoolBlueFuture Platform Launch, where the team introduced the project’s vision, approach, and key outcomes.

  • Licensing for Seaweed Aquaculture - Webinar

    As part of the C-FAARER project, we hosted a dedicated stakeholder session on licensing for seaweed aquaculture. The event brought together farmers, policymakers, and researchers to discuss regulatory challenges and opportunities for streamlining licensing processes in Ireland. 

  • Event at the Norwegian Embassy in Ireland

    C-FAARER co-hosted a stakeholder event at the Norwegian Embassy in Dublin, bringing together Irish and Norwegian voices to explore collaboration, knowledge exchange, and national strategies for advancing regenerative seaweed farming.

  • Official ISA Launch at Trinity College Dublin 2025

    In the afternoon, C-FAARER hosted the official launch of the Irish Seaweed Association at Trinity College Dublin.

  • Norway/Ireland Seaweed Partnering Event in Bergen 2025

    Day 1 of the Bergen Partnering Event included a session on seaweed production challenges and opportunities, networking activities, and a farm tour to Arctic Seaweed’s site.

  • 3rd Annual Low Trophic Aquaculture Workshop in Bergen 2025

    Day 2 focused on the 3rd Annual Low Trophic Aquaculture Workshop, co-organised with Nofima and the Norwegian Seaweed Cluster. Experts and stakeholders from Norway and Ireland exchanged insights on seaweed cultivation, innovation, and sustainable production, deepening technical knowledge and cross-border collaboration.

  • CNEP Event: Regenerative Ocean Farming & The Blue Economy

    This webinar explored regenerative ocean farming and the emerging nature-positive economy. Gareth Murphy, CNEP Community Ambassador, introduced the principles of regenerative seaweed farming, while Simona Fondate from the Western Development Commission shared insights from Ireland’s pilot work with the GoNaturePositive! project

  • Community-Driven Regenerative Ocean Farming & A Tale of Kelp Forest Restoration

    This CNEP webinar, organised by C-FAARER and the Norwegian Seaweed Association (NSA), introduced the concept of community-driven regenerative ocean farming and its relevance in Norway. It featured a keynote by Dr Dharm Kapletia (Trinity College Dublin) and a case study from Urchinomics.
